We have successfully treated patients ranging in age from 18 months to 21 years old. Regardless of age, our success rate remains the same, and we will continue to offer secure, sustainable and successful treatment to all children with food allergies up to a maximum age of 21. From the patient/parent perspective, the primary factor for success in TIP is compliance. For younger children, a limiting factor may be that the child does not eat consistently. For older children, anxiety may be a limiting factor. We do recommend that parents consider the daily dosing commitment that the program requires and his or her child’s ability and/or willingness to comply.
