FOOD PRODUCT AWARENESS
We know that some of the products you would normally use for dosing at home are either in short supply or currently unavailable in stores. When using any new package of a food dosing product, even from a standard brand that we use in the clinic, it is CRITICAL that you check the protein content per serving as this can impact dosing. The following list provides the protein content per serving for the flours and milks utilized in the clinic. Please email TIP Help if you need assistance converting your dosing:
FLOURS
- Kretschmer Toasted Wheat Germ (must be stored in the refrigerator once opened): Protein 4g per 2 tbsp serving (15g)
- Food to Live Buckwheat Flour Organic: Protein 4g per 1oz serving (28g)
- Barry Farm Barley Malt Powder: Protein 4.2g per ¼ cup serving
- Barry Farm Rye Flour: Protein 4.5g per ¼ cup serving
- True Sprouted Flour Green Pea Flour: Protein 10.7g per ¼ cup serving (40g)
- True Sprouted Flour Lentil or PureLiving Sprouted Lentil Flour: 12g Protein per 1/4 cup (29g)
MILKS
- Camel Milk by Desert Farms: 7g Protein per 25 g serving (new)
- Soy Milk Fresh in Quart: 6g Protein per 1 cup
- Meyenburg goat Milk Powder: 8g per ¼ cup serving (28g) (old) or 7g Per ¼ cup Serving (28g) (new)
DOSING SUPPLIES
For the next 2 weeks, SoCal Food Allergy will have the following products available for patients who need them for their treatment plan and have been unable to locate their own supply. Items will be sent with two weeks worth of dosing according to your specific treatment plan. Shipping rates will apply for all orders, supply costs may apply for some products.
